Ashlee Simpson & Evan Ross Married: Couple Weds At Diana Ross’ Estate
Congrats are in order for Ashlee and Evan! The couple said “I do” on August 31, E! News confirmed. This is the first marriage for Evan and the second “I do” for Ashlee.
Ashlee’s sister, Jessica Simpson, served as maid of honor. The bride had a number of bridesmaids on hand, including Jessica’s BFF CaCee Cobb!
Ashlee split from ex-husband, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, 35, in 2011 after two years of marriage. Her son from that union, Bronx Wentz, 5, walked his mommy down the aisle! Too cute!
It was the iconic Miss. Ross herself who helped the couple pull of the wedding of their dreams. “She’s involved in all levels of my life. She’s one of the most incredible mothers ever. She’s involved in every piece of our wedding!” Evan told E! this past spring.
We’re so happy for Ashlee and Evan!
Ashlee Simpson & Evan Ross: Their Road To The Altar
You really can’t hurry love! Though the two only started dating last July, Diana was absolutely right – the love that Ashlee and Evan have actually developed over a long time. “Evan and Ashlee have been friends for a really long time, probably ten years. They know each other from the club scene and have tons of mutual friends ” a source told Us last year after the couple started taking things to the next level.
The couple announced their engagement via Twitter on January 13th of this year during a trip to Hawaii. Her wedding band will now complement her breathtakingly beautiful Neil Lane engagement ring which is a vintage-inspired five-carat stunner, set in platinum and gold and comprised of over 140 white diamonds with small ruby accents.
Now that they are married, will the pitter patter of more little feet soon be heard around the Simpson-Ross house? Well, according to his E! interview, Evan is more than game, “It’s up to Ashlee, but I want to have a lot of kids. I grew up with … 10 siblings!”\
