The emotional Madonna feminist speech at the annual awards gala Billboard Women in Music received praise from Lady Gaga.
Upon receiving the award for Woman of the Year, Madonna thanked the audience for recognizing his 34-year career against the "rampant sexism, misogyny, the constant bullying and ruthless abuses." About herself she said it was a "bad feminist" who did not deny their sexuality.
Lady Gaga Madonna said in a tweet on Monday night he was "inspired" by the speech, adding: "You are so brave and strong Thank you for being so, the girls we need.".
Friday's ceremony was issued Monday by the Lifetime channel.
