Preview Of 'Love And Hip Hop Hollywood' Review

Monday night VH1 will be airing the highly anticipated Love and Hip Hop Hollywod that has familiar faces such as Lil Fizz and Omarion of B2K ("Gots Ta Be" was the song when I was kid), Ray J, Souljah Boy and the one I consider the breakout star or more like the "Evelyn" of the show, Teairra Marie (yes, I will be watching for her storyline with Ray J)...and more.

Teairra Marie/Hazel E: The former Roc princess and publicist turned rapper Hazel E greet us for the premiere show. You can already tell that Teairra will be a standout among her co-stars and can easliy become the "either you like me or dislike me" type. What's still remains is that she is vocally talented and the desire to see her music career succeed is still an interest to many of her fans. Musically, Teairra could shine more if she had records that were more crossover as done by her former label mate Rihanna. Whether this will do her music career justice is up in the air but hey, she's maintaining a relevance; can't complain on that.

Hazel E comes off like a nice and genuine person who mellows out Marie's more blunt approach. So far...that's all I got. Things will surely unfold more with her storyline once Yung Berg enters in the picture.

Ray J/Teairra Marie: Surprisingly, we see that Marie does have a soft spot for Ray J after not speaking to him for what she claims 8-months. He now has a new girlfriend named Princess who apparently moved into the home that she once shared with Ray J. And now she wants her "stuff" back which from the looks of those pictures at the end, I don't think Vagisil is something you just are in an immediate rush to get back from your ex. It's CVS off Beverly Boulevard in case you've ever lived in California. Anyway, she texts Ray J about coming to his office for a visit and he tells her to wait in the parking lot. Hmmm, okay! Teairra shows an abundance of emotion towards Ray J which shows one thing - she clearly hasn't gotten over it. And again...this is the storyline that will keep us all glued.

Omarion/His Momma/Apryl Jones: Okay, now this storyline was interesting and relatable as man, to a degree that is. Omarion and his girlfriend Apryl have moved into a new home together while expecting their first child (the baby has since been born). The "problematic" area seems to come from Omarion not showing a level of respectability for Apryl's communicative issues that she has with Omarion's mother.

You can see that Omarion wants to show his respect to his mother nonstop which is understandable however, some women may be able to relate that Apryl seems to be asking Omarion that "Hey, you've grown up into a man so take care of your family versus treating your mother like she's your woman." If you got something different than that then cool. Omarion's mother "appears" to be dependent on her son but has no interest in "sharing" him with the woman in his life...just an observation though. When I was a kid, I remember my mother telling me that once I get married or have a child with a woman, my obligation is now for my family that I've created and that her role will always be that of a supportive mom. Apryl comes off cool and level headed who just wants the transition of peace to take place without a problem and you know what? We ain't mad at you for that.

Souljah Boy/Nia Riley: The only thing I knew about Nia Riely was the altercations that were reported bewteen her and her producer father Teddy Riely. Teddy Riley goes down in history as one of the most successful producers having created songs for the late Michael Jackson and others. Nia was also reportedly dating a woman named Deiondra Sanders but "cheated" on her with Atlanta Hawks player Al Horford. Anway, the storyline with Souljah Boy celebrating how much he loved her at LA's Supper Club was umm...well, it was nice. They talked about moving in together with Nia's adorable daughter and...that's as much as I gathered from the episode. Oh...I didn't know that Souljah Boy was 23...there we go.

Lil Fizz/Moneice Slaughter: Was I the only who got put off when they kept referring to Fizz as "Dreux?" Anyway, Fizz seems like a likable person on the show and his son motivated me to want to immediately call my brother to set up play time with my nephew(minor sentimental moment). His challenge seemed like it stemmed from Moneice not being a "reliable" parent and unstable in terms of living arrangements. Moniece appears to be attitudinal and that preview where she says "Worry about getting f**** " was kind of a turn off despite the implied "this is where you stand as a girlfriend but I'm the baby's mother" anthem. In other words, you can understand the announcement of her position in Fizz's life. However, you had to give her props for being vocal about changing the situation so that she can see her son more plus, the sex toy line proves not only her ambition to make money but that she wants to be an active and better parent.

Omarion/Lil Fizz: Their screen time together was brief but for those of you knew the words to B2K's "Bump, Bump, Bump" were probably thinking how good it was to see the former boy band memebers still maintain a relationship after disbanding years earlier. I got thrown off when Omarion said something about "best boy that ever did it" just don't quote me. First thing I thought was, "Umm, y'all were cool but shout at us when you become a Boyz II Men, New Edition heck...even a 112 or Az Yet and then we can talk." However, I'd be lying if I said B2K wasn't talented. We also see Omarion metion that people weren't attentive to the singles he released during his solo project such as "Icebox" produced by Timbaland or "Entourage" which was a damn good song that should've put his musicianship on another level. Omarion is talented and his vocal stylings have that early, Baptist-ish type tone to it much like singer Sammie who now goes by Leigh Bush.

The Ending: Well, the only thing it cemented was that TEAIRRA MARIE...will be the one to watch this season. Ray J, however, could've opted to not invite Teairra or...she could've chosen not to attend. Plain and simple! Either Ray J was gaming Princess by inviting Teairra knowing she would show up or and yes, let's put this out there...Ray himself may still like the fiesty Marie.
